Brushstroke lamps by Jana Bek
In June, my home in the Berkshires will be on a house tour sponsored by the Ventfort Hall Museum in Lenox. I thought it would be a good opportunity to use the occasion to update some of the areas in the house. One of those updates was to replace a lamp in the living room. It’s glass lamp with a shade I’m not crazy about. After looking here and there, I found a designer in Michigan, Jana Bek, who has her own line of lamps in different patterns, one of them being her Brushstroke design. The lamp is a double gourd lamp which can read traditional, but with the addition of the brushstroke pattern, it instantly feels modern. Jana uses Benjamin Moore paints which makes it easy to coordinate with your room’s color palette. Style-wise they are versatile in that they look well in both traditional and modern settings. Two other great features are that the lamps come in two different sizes and with their own shades. And shipping is free.
Jana sells other items such as fabrics, wallpapers and accessories as well. Check it out at janabek.com.
Here’s my lamp ready to head out to the Berkshires. Look forward to sharing my Lenox House tour update very soon!
